Jet Blue - Experiences??
I just FINALLY plugged in some dates to Expedia to see what air fare would be for a trip in April.
After slowly opening my eyes to view the screen (I was expecting the WORST, having paid upwards of $660 pp from Boston in the past), I was amazed to not only see fares around $400 but NONSTOPS out of Boston. Haven't seen that for a few years at all!! Jet Blue looks might tempting at $409 for nonstop RT April 6/April 17. Anyone had any experience with Jet Blue?? I've never flown them before. Will they let me sit in the cockpit and help steer?? |

![]() Seriously- we flew Jet Blue out of Boston once and it was great. Mainly because of the TV's on the back of every seat- otherwise it was pretty much as horrible as every other airline (I hate traveling - love the destinations, though). I do think the seats were a little roomier than average. We would love to fly Jet Blue again, but due to work constraints, we find ourselves having to fly on weekends and they're much more expensive then.Do it!! When are you going in April? IF airfare comes down to below $350pp (after taxes), we'll be going April 18/19-25/26 ish. So far Continental is the closest at $381. (At $350 we can use miles for a free ticket- that's why the firm cutoff). Good luck ![]() edit- just saw your dates- guess we would just miss you..... |

I called David and ran all this by him. Right now he's pondering whether I should jump and book the flights before he gets approved for the vacation time or if we should wait (and possibly lose the good fares) until he gets the go ahead from his work. UGH. ![]() But either way.... this summer we've GOT to get together with you and Jeremy!! Meet in the middle somewhere perhaps??

![]() Booking vacations to coincide with work is such a PITA. We always just book cancel-for-any-reason insurance to cover our bases. So far, no cancellations! Btw- how's the snow going for ya? |

Thanks, Sara and Sus!! David's gonna check with the "nice lady in Personnel who has the vacation schedule" and then he'll call me tomorrow at work. If it looks good, I'll go ahead and book it.
Snow?? You mean, ice and sleet and slush??? YUKKKKO!! I didn't take a lunch today so I could leave at 4 PM. I tried to do some shoveling but other than my front steps and walkway to the driveway, I gave up. That stuff is like shoveling wet cement!! No can do!! Hopefully my Escape won't be frozen solid in the mush tomorrow morning when I leave for work. How's the delightful New England weather down Cape way??? |

will pretty much use Jetblue for all my travels when possible. TV in the seat, polite, and very stress free boarding. Willl be using them when my wife and I come down to playa in Feb. and use them at least 3 times per year. Just my opinion.

We flew them the first time when we went to Playa Del Carmen in Dec.... Was real impressed with the whole flight experience..... Gave the pilot raves when we got off the plane when we got back into Boston on the 19th during that snow storm....
I also have to chime in I'm sick of the snow here in MA and keep looking at my photos from that trip wishing we were back down there... Its raining outside right now and lemme tell ya there's nothing worse than walking in snowslushslop... |

Jet Blue is great. I use them whenever possible.
As someone mentioned, they have satellite TV for each seat, with about 30 channels. That alone helps make long trips pass quickly. I *highly* recommend going on their website and paying the extra $10-20 each way for one of the extra-legroom seats up front. You get another four inches or so between you and the seat in front of you, which is almost like being in first class. And you get off first. Between the TV and the extra room (if you can afford it), their cheerful attitude, neat selection of snacks... including cashews, Jet Blue is always a pleasure. Unless you get stuck in one for eight hours in the snow, of course

Jet blue is the best.
We take from NY to Cancun-Bahamas and Aruba. Never had any probs always friendly ck in and stewards on the plane. Comfortable seats with leg room and as mentioned tv at each seat. New feature of paying more for seats near the front with more leg room not necessary as we have found no probs further back with leg room. We used to always take AA now it Jet Blue for us. |

We got a great deal on Jet Blue nonstop from Orlando. Booked it months ago. The price has come down twice that I know of and I called them each time - they lowered our price and gave us the difference in a credit for future flight - I'm sold.
