Los Aguachiles Healthy Tacos in Playa del Carmen

When one thinks about health food, something friendly to the heart and wasteline, tacos really don't spring to mind. When was the last time your cardiologist put you on an "all taco diet"? Exactly. Mounds of meat cooked in lard or deep fried shrimp piled on a torilla don't exactly fit the bill for most healthy eating plans. Well, maybe our doctors need to make a visit to Los Aguachiles for a plateful of delicious seafood tacos or a heaping bowl of ceviche.

Looks really nice! I'll have to bring a few people from work there to try it.

Is it open for lunch? From the time of day at one of the pics it looks like it.

Yum, those tacos sound and look wonderful! They make there corn tortillas just like I do at home when I make tacos. Fried gently to where they have a slight crunch but are still soft. Will definitely give this place a try next month!

I should have remember to take a pic of the hours because now I don't remember. I want to say 12:30 to 7:00pm. I will check on that.

Thanks Michele for the great review. I have been looking for this place for almost a year, and was always given incorrect addresses and never found it. Now that I know where it is I will definitely hit it at least once on my next trip.

Hi. They are open from 1130 to 630pm Mon-Saturday.

I love this place. I actually had them make some food for a party I had. The owner was great to work with. He was really helpful and creative and willing to go the extra mile.

SADLY when when I went to pick up the food the guys there had NO IDEA what I was talking about. They completely forgot about me and the order I had placed.

They threw something together. Not what we had discussed but hey...I was in a bind. They food was good b/c their food is good. But with thought it would have been better.

Still I really like their food. I just had to vent (a bit) about my experience.

Aguachiles continues to be very good, and is busy every day for most of their operating hours. Pretty amazing what they manage to do with just shrimp, one kind of white fish, and tuna (and with almost everything steamed or raw)
