Popeye Painting Shelter Sale

Hi as i posted previously, Popeye (Barry) generously gave us a number of his paintings to use in any way we wished to raise some money for the shelter, i thought of maybe an auction or raffle but instead i will just post the pics here and let the sale run for a week, anyone interested please feel free to contact me .
Thank you
Andy
(ps the lightbulb is there to give an idea of size)

Andy, I'm interested in one and can pick it up in two weeks. Question though - are there set prices or how does it work?

Just please don't sell the 3 paintings I won in the last auction!! I'll be down to Playa in April to pick 'em up, Andy (along with the Lia Sophia necklace too!)

Idea, how about you save one or two for one of the upcoming peep meets, and raffle / or silent auction them?

Maybe a way to get more $$$$, but maybe your offer here would generate more, not sure.

Popeye has always been generous making sure the shelter has a couple of paintings everytime we have a fundraiser. They go fast.

Just a thought.... the "SOLD"s indicated with the paintings... does the "sold" apply to the painting above the SOLD or below it?? Might be confusing for potential painting purchasers.

To anyone viewing the paintings and considering a purchase.... I have 3 Barry "Popeye" originals in my home already and will be adding 3 more when I bring them back home from Playa in April. Take my word for it... you will NOT be disappointed. Barry has a knack for capturing that "special something" about the essence of the area.

At least I think so. And... the guy himself is pretty darn cool too (and he also picked a great wife).

Thanks for pointing this out Karen, the sold applies to the painting above (next to) it

I don't know what you're seeing on your monitor, but on mine, the SOLD is in between the pics of the paintings, not "next to" anything.

Perhaps you should edit that post and put some additional spaces in between the paintings so that the SOLD indications are more clearly "next to" their applicable painting?

Not trying to tell you what to do, Andy... but just thinking that if a peep is interested, something like "not sure if that one is already sold" could be just enough to put them off from bothering to PM an offer.

EDIT: Or add something simple like "Above painting = SOLD"?
