Pdc with kids next month any activities ideas

I am traveling to Playa del Carmen next month with 2 kids ages 2 1/2 and 7. Does anyone have any ideas on good activities for kids that age that the adults can also enjoy. Is it cheaper to book activities online or there in Playa?

Hi Nataleen, and welcome!

I don't know where you are staying, but playgrounds with shade are fairly rare here. There is one on Av 35 and Calle 22 (go west/up Constituyentes past Mega and turn right at 35, it's just a couple of blocks along).

Have fun and I'm sure more knowledgeable folks will chime in with great suggestions. Btw, you can very cheaply buy sand buckets and shovels here at many stores (Mega, Walmart, souvenir shops on Av 5).

You will want to make a visit to el Parque los Fundadores! It is right on the beach and has lots of new equipment for the kids and plenty of sand to dig in!

Our kids like Cenote Azul. There are easy access points so you can get in the water with the 2 year old and the elder will have a blast cliff jumping!

For a fun, kid friendly beach day, try a day trip to Paamul. The beach is quiet, the water is calm and there is a pool and restaurant as well.

Well traveling to Mexico is a great idea. I just came back with my 6 kids. ages 1-8. They had a blast. It is best to wait until you get their to book a tour because there will be more compettion for your bussiness there. There are so many tour shops their you can they will be all looking to give you a deal. Buenos dia. usted queires la Playa. Mucho sol block! Feliz Mexico

You could try going to Puerto Aventuras to see the dolphins. We didn't swim with them during our most recent trip, but my 4 year-old really enjoyed just walking around the marina, watching the dolphins do their thing.
