Big article in USA Today on Friday from Mahahual....Destinations and Diversions section....entitled...

The New Maya Frontier - On the Yucatan's southern coast, visitors discover a land of jungles, ancient temples, diving spots and a wildlife haven known as "where the sky is born" (Sian Ka'an).

Susie, Great report and pictures. I've been wanting to do this trip for a couple years now, and finally it's here. I will be driving down to Mahahaul April 11th, (about 60 days), and I am really looking forward to some "DOWN" time. I know my picture taking skills aren't even close to yours but I will try.
One question: Off Hwy 307, are there clearly marked road signs. I will be by myself and I don't read or speak Spanish. I think I have seen more then one way to spell Mahahaul...

Thanks,
Rob

Yep, it's easy to find. Just go south at 307, turn left at the sign, and keep driving til you're in the middle of it!
