Friday March 6th........We find ourselves happily motoring up 307 to Cancun to catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres......early in the morning......made it in an hour...give or take....

at the dock...

Visually interesting...but makes me want to clean.....

We opt for the top deck......beautiful ride...little chilly though.....

and finally arrive on Isla Mujeres....

We decided to rent a couple of golf carts and travel the road around the island.....I don't have a pic of this but Amy and Jason might.....

The weather was fantastic! Perfect day to spin the wheels (slowly

) onward....in search of the beachside restaurant amy and jason had in mind.....

Here is a shot from the dock looking toward the restaurant......sorry, I can't remember the name of it right now......

And...now....the ordering of food begins......

All of us agreed we wanted the HUGE grilled Snapper.....oh yeah.....along with a Shrimp Cocktail and Shrimp Ceviche.....

Ohhhh.....what a beautiful site.......mmmmmmm......

I think we ate the whole thing.....

Time to hop back in the carts and head to Punta Sur........

I've never actually stopped at the conch shell house. Just taken pictures from the cruising golf cart.

There's always been people sitting outside (renters I guess). You got some great shots! I love the little house on the side too.......what kind of shell is that........periwinkle?

We park at the North side of the island for some drinks and this is what Amy ordered.......she mistakenly offered me a taste (BIG MISTAKE) and Oh....My.....it was so delicious I wanted to rip the plate from her hands....

Octopus anyone?

I didn't put a pic of that up...but it was to the left of the little house.......

It was the Juarez I believe....I'll get info and post.....I was sitting in the front seat ....but obviously was not the navigator.
