Hi, was there 2 years ago for my brother in law's 50 B/D. Stayed at Royal Palms. Were you guys stayed after Luna Blue. Havent' been back since. Would love to. We go to Florida for 2 weeks over Xmas and New Years. My nephew is in high school and their break happens over St. Patrick's Day. Winter is basically over by than here in MN, not this year. I travel with my sister and her family if you remember. Been a horrible Winter in MN this year. Have a great time. Stop at La Fe around the corner at 26th and 5th. One of my favorite stops.
Again, have a great time.

Lovely report and photos....I especially loved this photo. Great shot of the ruins in Tulum. Looks like a postcard!

Awe - I loved your report - we are going in 17 days and staying at the Luna Blue. You really captured the whole trip, I really felt your saddness to leave. I will check out these litre drinks too! Plus your description of how to catch a collectivo was really great.

Thanks for the great TR!

Your pics are fab-- what kind of camera did you use?

BTW, I think I spy a Vera Bradley bag...about the only thing cool about my town (except Jason's Club Soda!)

How long before the flight should we plan to be at the cancun airport when coming back? I heard we should get to the airport three hours before the flight time.

That's correct!

We came only 2 hours prior to departure a couple of years back to find huge lines ahead. I took so long to check in we didn't even have time left for the last-minute shopping or at least a drink!

Camera

Thanks for the kind words.

I used a Nikon D40 for most of the photos. When we were out and about in the evenings, we carried our Canon Powershot 630.

I have been very happy w/the D40. The photo quality is excellent, the size is as lean as it gets for an SLR, it's a Nikon, and it won't kill the bank account.

Yes, you spotted one of Sherrie's Vera Bradley bags - she's a big fan.
