A couple quick IB* Maya questions

We (self, hubby, kids 12 & 15 & hubby's 2 adult sisters) are very excited to be making our way to the Maya on Apr 6. I definitely need a vacation!!

We made our reservations thru Continental Airlines vacations. Does anyone have a reliable email contact at the Maya in order to make room/bldg requests? As the kids are teens, adjoining rooms are not a necessity, but we want to be close by. The same is true for his sisters, as one is diabetic.

We would like to be located fairly centrally. I remember when the four of us were there about 3 years ago, our bldg was very close to the swim-up bar/buffet area. We would like to be there again, on an upper floor.

Does anyone know what types of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, etc) are in the rooms? With all the baggage restrictions if there is some stuff I can leave at home (esp heavier stuff like that) so much the better. I am not so much concerned with the brand name as what is there. And hey, more room for souvenirs!!

Also, is it possible to make some ala carte reservations before we arrive? I know they will be busy and I don't want to miss out on our favorites by waiting too long to make them, especially since we have a party of 6.

They won't promise you certain rooms, but will note it on your reservations. Sometimes the reservations are not in there system until about a week before you go.
They will sometimes make dinner reservations in advance of your arrival for large groups.

Thanks Schmerl - I will send them a note. After looking at the maps we were thinking bldgs 61-63 would probably be a preference for us. I think we stayed in bldg 63 last time.
