Day pass at AI so i can visit the gym, spa and pool?
The only thing i feel like i'll miss out on by not going to an AI is a super nice gym, maybe even a yoga class in a nice hotel, hydro showers and a steam room, stuff like that. Would a day pass at an AI allow me to find a place to let me do that? I would love to spend one day feeling luxurious, esp. since I'll most likely be staying at the student residence at the International House language school.
If an AI pass is the way to go for those things, anyone know of one that would offer the things i'm looking for? I guess the nicer the better, but i don't want to spend more than $70. It would be from 3pm until night, since my class won't be out until 2pm. :P Last edited by atlonglast; 04-02-2009 at 08:56 PM.. |

Why don't you just go to one of the high end gyms in town - Evolve or The Gym? I bet they would have all those things you're looking for and the cost is $15/day.
But if not...some AI's have really nice gyms, some have open air (sweaty) gyms with older equipment and some don't have a gym at all. It just depends on the AI. Some do not offer day passes. Day passes to really nice AI's (the ones with nice gyms) run about $90 so you'll probably want to decide on where you want to go (there are A LOT of AI's in Riviera Maya) and then call or e mail for day pass pricing (or to check on the actual amenities). |

I will definitely go to them. Does anyone also know where i can also find an elegant place to relax, sauna and whirlpool? i could probably just find an awesome spa and make an appt. for a manicure so i could use all their facilities. Last edited by atlonglast; 04-03-2009 at 11:05 AM.. |

I took a pilates chair class there and it was in Spanish. I got most of what she was saying and what I didn't I figured out just by looking at what others in the class were doing. But she did speak English so if anyone was totally lost on something, she would have been able to explain.
There are a few nice spas in Playa. Do a search (toolbar above) for "Spa" or similar terms and I'm sure you'll pull up enough info to get started. |
