Road Trip 2009 - Guatemala!!

And so, the next adventure begins. We are packed (almost) and excited (definitely) and ready to get on the road. We leave first thing Monday morning for 19 days!! The first of many blog entries has been posted detailing our tentative itinerary. As I did with some degree of success last year in Belize, I plan to blog as we go along. Each of the entries will be added on this first post of the thread so they will be easy to find and follow chronologically. I hope you'll travel along with us virtually!!

Day 1 - Playa to San Ignacio, Belize
Day 2 - San Ignacio to Poptun, Guatemala
Day 3 - Poptun to Antigua, Guatemala
Day 4 - Antigua
Day 5 - Antigua
Day 6 - Pacaya Volcano
Day 7 - Auto Safari Chapin
Day 8 - The Road to Xela and a Visit with San Simon
Day 9 - Almolonga and Las Fuentes Georginas
Day 10 - Momostenago and Sajcaja
Day 11 - Market Day in Chichicastenango
Day 12 - Panajachel Atitlan
Day 13 - Atitlan Nature Reserve
Day 14 - Santiago Atitlan and San Pedro la Laguna
Day 15 & 16 - Rio Dulce
Day 17 - Rio Dulce and Livingston
Day 18 - Flores
Day 19 - Tikal and Howler Monkeys

Relative newcomer to Playa.Info and also an avid fan of "Life's a Beach"...living vicariously through your exploits ! what an amazing perspective you provide on living life to the fullest ! Admire & respect your adventurous spirit ! Will miss your posts re: development in Playa...await your safe return...Your children have to be the most privileged ever ! What an incredible adventure for the family...All the best
