parking at cancun airport

I am picking someone up at the airport tomorrow and do not know where to park. Can I pull up and wait at the exit - where all the transfer companies are at Terminal 3?

Is there free parking? Paid parking? One large parking lot, several parking lots?

Paid parking is available opposite the entry doors at Terminal 3. The parking fees are going up fast... most recently to 28 pesos per hour or portion of. Unless you have phone contact and know they are already out the door, you're not going to want to try pulling up to wait, as security will run you off quickly. If you do have contact with them, you'll want to go to the center section as opposed to right in front of the doors.
