Well, our holiday was cancelled yestrday.
Came home from a nightshift to find the other half waiting looking blue. They refunded by 9am and we were straight down to the travel agent - were going to Jamaica now. Im gutted that I am missing out on Mexico, and Paul I had very nearly bought the Marmite for your mate Jez at Zenzi... I've spend weeks and weeks browsing this forum despite how little i have posted and kinda wish I hadn't because knowing what I'm missing has hardend the blow some. I guess it just wasnt meant to be this year. I'm saving already - I will feel that Playa sand between my little Yorkshire toes one day!! |

I'm sorry that your plans were ruined. Where in Jamaica are you going? We used to go to Negril all the time. The beaches are so beautiful. You'll have a wonderful time. And just keep planning for next year, this emergency will pass and Mexico will still be here for you.

Hi! Yeah it was the SwineFlu scare that cancelled my trip, the agents were superb with it though, within a half hour of the call the money had been refunded, making re-arrangement a little easier!
We collected our travellers cheques and cash yesterday for Jamaica - I've never held foreign currency before, the $ notes smell distinctly like wax crayons, all very strange! We're going to Ocha Rios, staying at the Riu hotel which has some fantastic reviews having now had the time to do some digging! Paul are there any Marmite lovers there that you know?? Thanks again to everyone that has welcomed me here x Pudd x |
