You know the beignets would delish, just a little bit more cakey then I remember them. I guess when they mass produce them then tend to overcook them a bit and they dont taste as "light".

You need to come down for a long weekend and we can do a girls trip !

Bring a good pair of walking shoes...cause there is a lot of walking !!
It is a good thing with all the eating that goes along with a place like this.

Another great trip to NOLA this week.

For all you foodies out there two new great places to try next time you visit the city.

Le Meritage at The Maison Dupuy - New Orleans French Quarter Restaurant - took my boss here for his retirement dinner. It was awesome, we ordered a bunch of small plates and wine samples so we could try everything !

Another cool spot that Michelle mentioned in her recent trip to NOLA !

Green Goddess Opening Manifesto

cool funky, offbeat - sort of hole in the wall place.....food was outstanding

Cant wait to go back in November.

The Green Goddess is where we ran into Michele and Rob. They happened to be sitting at the table next to us!

It is our new favorite restaurant.

Hello Peeps,
Heading down to The Big Easy in March 2011 and wanted recommendations for hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Going with a friend who has never been and want to get the whole flavor of this incredible city. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Montelone is one of favorites.
But I always stay at the Marriot on Canal Street because I get a big corp discount.
IF you are going during Mardi Gras be sure to get reservations in advance.

Thanks so much for the reply. We will are going to be heading down March 25th. It never occurred to me that it might be close to Mardi Gras?! Is March 25th before, during, or after Mardi Gras? WOW! That would be unbelievable to be down there during that time!
