Swine flu cases in USA and Mexico

OK, here we go again, with bigger & better photos, this time, and more of 'em.

These were all taken around midday on Thursday, April 30th (so just an hour or two ago). We'll start you off with a couple of our area of the beach, and a couple more of those from further south, before heading into the town shots.

I am thinking of heading to Playa(dC) today! My school is closed tomorrow and Monday for the holidays (but is open on Saturday as it isn´t a holiday but I don´t have Saturday classes) so... I have a super long weekend and nothing to do, lol.

I don´t know if I have the patience to try and book everything and find accomodations though usually it takes me a long time to plan stuff.

It looks like any other day in Playa...... Was hoping we would have the whole place to ourselves...... That's selfish by the way.....

Just watched a live news conference on Fox 12 saying that there is 1 case that is 95% confirmed with 2 or 3 more that are likely to be reported as confirmed later today.

Not a lot more information than that, other than the folks that were infected came from Mexico and their workplace(s) are being investigated for possible infection of others...Probable Case Of Swine Flu Identified In Oregon - Health News Story - KPTV Portland

Bottom line is that all states are going to, at some point, be affected by this just like any other flu that goes around.

My feeling is that common sense should prevail, not be redundant, but wash your hands, keep hand sanitizer around if you touch surfaces that others touch and if you don't feel good, for gods sake, stay at home and see your Dr., they will get you through it...

Nearly 300 schools nationwide have shuttered as education and health officials take precautions to avoid the spread of swine flu, the U.S. Education Department reported today.

As of yesterday at noon, the department had counted about 100 school closures.

The department's new count of 298 school closures nationwide corrected an earlier, mistaken tabulation of more than 4,000 closures today, officials said. There have been reports of flu cases at several colleges, but no reported closures.
