Updated Restaurant List now available

I have updated the Restaurant list as of May 1, 2009, with some new reviews, some additions and deletions. Note that the file size requirements have forced me to split the list into two parts to avoid having to leave something out. Print them both out for the complete guide to Playa dining.

Find the list in the Changarros y Mas bulletin board under 'Various Places to Eat". My first posting to the thread contains the new list for downloading. Enjoy with my compliments.

Thank you! Your list was a great help when deciding where to eat on our trip last year! And in 3 weeks we were able to sample quite a few of your recommendations!

I'm curious as to whether you were able to try La Azotea, a rooftop tapas restaurant on 5th near the corner of Calle 8. It is right across 5th from La Parrilla and the only presence they have is a small doorway with a menu which leads you to an elevator to the roof. Beautiful nighttime views of Cozumel. We ate there twice in March and they were only opened one month then. Everything we tried from the salad with pears and gorgonsola cheese to the pizza with arugula and goat cheese were excellent. We overordered the first time as their small plates were definitely enough to split. If you haven't tried it yet, put it on your list for your next visit I don't think you'll regret it.

Never noticed it

What an interesting idea. I had never heard of La Azotea, but I love the idea of a nice view over the water. I will give it a once over next trip. Thanks for the information.
