Gala Resort/Feb 1

Hello all...I posted this in the "general" area some time ago, and it was suggested I move it here. Is anyone going to be at the Gala Resort the first week in Feb 2004? I've enjoyed this forum, and have had many questions answered. I'd like to see Steve Ryberg's resort while we are there. He impresses me with his candor, and it seems all of his guests have great things to say of the resort (Playa Maya???). Anyway, anyone know how far this resort is from the Gala? My husband and I would like to "check it out". Also, if anyone's been to the Gala and can give us any travel tips we'd appreciate it. Can't wait! 8)

Playa Maya is a $5.00 taxi ride, 10 minutes from the Gala. We have stayed at the Gala for the past 7 Easters and really love it. This year we will be at the Playa Maya for an adults only long weekend in Feb. and returning to the Gala with the family at Easter.
