Leaving May 31st as well from the former Motown. Will be arriving at the Royal as well. Safe trip to you and yours. I'll be the one at the bar/s.

Hey, I just caught your name Bontongrl (the beer is wearing off, I need another Shiner). So is Bonton from (pardon my spelling), "Lesse bonton roulete!!"??

My wife is a crazy cajun from Opelousas, so I'm a bit familiar with the crazy cajun culture!!

You are a smart one Billy,,,, that's EXACTLY what its from,,,,,,,

Not too many people actually catch on to that,,,,,,,

The actual spelling is "Laissez le bon temp roulez" , so I just took the bon temp part and spelled it a little differently,,,,,,

I wonder how many people on this forum know what the ""AAAAAAAAAA..EEEEEEEEEEEEEE" really sounds like,,,,,

Btw, speaking of AAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!, I thought I was a pretty good party-er - I'm a Sun Devil from ASU, and we're known to party a little bit. But then I graduated and took a job in Lafayette, LA; and found out it was a whole other league!

Hey, LSU, my 2nd favorite school!! Been to several games in Death Valley, quite an experience! Plus, have lot's of in-laws that are LSU-folks, so I get to share their passion (and hear about SEC dominance!).

I will have to give condonlances for my NCAA-defending champion Lady-Devils softball team defeating LSU in the recent regional in Tempe. You did give us a scare though, won the first game and we had to win the next three elimination games to move on to the super-regional (where we defeated NDS, on to the college world series again!). As for baseball, both LSU and ASU have great teams this year, maybe they'll meet up in the CWS.

As for Louisiana party scene in general, it was amazing to me! In Lafayette, there was a different festival every weekend, no joke (not to mention the partying during the week like Tenatious Tuesdays at Poets!). I'll list a few here: rice festival, alligator, boucheree (killing of the pig), crawfish (of course), international festival, shrimp, jambalaya, watermelon, yam (I went out with the Yam queen of Donaldsonville - wow royalty!), among many others. It literally had my head spinning down there!

Well, its my FIRST favorite,, There's nothing like a football game in Tiger Stadium !!! I love all the SEC teams,,,, I must say, WE are the best

That would be a great matchup for the college world series, wouldn't it be ? Good Luck to both of us

No one can beat Lousiana for knowing how to throw a good festival and a great partyyyyyyyy !!

Oh,,,, you forgot one, the strawberry festival,,,,,

Just listen to some Alan Jackson song's.....

You'll hear....AAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

He loves to put a little cajun twang in his music

I was born in New Orleans and also lived in Hammond, LA. I remember some big Strawberry festivals going on in Hammond. At one time, they used to say it was the Strawberry capital of the world.
