Well I am going to start day#2 tonight without having all the pictures from my friend. I really wanted to get those pictures so that I could give more details and include more pictures. Ohh well I can always go back and post more picture when I get them right? Well thanks for the continued feedback. I felt sorta like I was really young again dancing on the dance floor with all the class of 09' people. lol

Okay, finally here. Well gonna start day#2 tonight. Now some of the pictures are from our friends and they are reduced in size since they were basically emailed (sorry) but I will try to throw in as many of our larger ones as possible.
DAY#2 We woke up about 9:00am after getting a knock at the door. Thinking it was the maid we just stayed silent. Then a few minutes later we get a call and our friend was like hey why didn't ya'll answer. Well heck I could barely talk I was so hung over lol She was thinking we were down in the gym I wish, but not that morning. Actually I did go to the gym one morning out of 6. I was proud of that. Well we dragged out butts out of bed and told them we would meet them for Breakfast at the buffet (i live for the breakfast at Riu Caribe, especially the bacon and waffles). So we ate breakfast and agreed that we would all go change into our swimsuits and meet down at the pool. It was going to be a beautiful day. Actually every day was great weather and only rained one night, but thats a different story all together that I will get to on day 4 i think. The girls hanging out in the water looking pretty. ![]() ![]() You can't beat being on a lounger skimming the top of the cool water ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The water was crystal clear each day ![]() So after a while at the pool and beach we decided that we would head to the mall so that we could drop off our toys for the Give a Toy Get a Smile program and look around a bit. ![]() Picture from the viewing deck at the forum mall ![]() ![]() After that it was back to the hotel for a little siesta and an agreement to meet back up at 7:00 for drinks in the lobby and then to eat steak again since the Mexican and Asian restaurants were still not opened. The guys after diner shouldn't have eaten so much ![]() ![]() Laura being silly ![]() After a few drinks at the sports bar we all decided we would take it easy and head in early since we were going to get up and head to Isla Mujeres and catch the 9:00am ferry, plus we wanted breakfast before that. |

Day #3 Isla Mujeres
Well day #3 started out pretty good. We got up and went down for Breakfast Buffet again (i am telling you, i never get tired of it). We all wore bathing suits and girls wore bikinis under their clothes. I told everyone that it was just a short bus ride away so that we had plenty of time. We all got our stuff together, grabbed some bottled water from the front desk, and headed out to catch the bus. Playa Tortugas is where we were going to take the ferry and actually we could have walked there in 10 minutes time, but the bus is so quick and easy.
BTW, I had to throw this one in from day#1. We bought a Nacho Libre looking mask for my buddy at work and everyone talked me into putting it on. I love Nacho Libre and have seen it at least 15 times. But no stretchy pants. ![]() Anyway, so here goes the trip to Isla Mujeres Don't the guys look so excited? Sometimes when you take all the pictures you have to get some of yourself ![]() Our boat ![]() Water was calm that morning ![]() So after a 20-30 minute ride we arrived at Isla Mujeres and were greeted by several people wanting us to go snorkeling and rent golf carts. Well we had planned to rent golf carts and explore around (second time for me and wife) and just take our time that day. One guy told us he would give us a deal and rented us 2 carts for $80 from 9:30 till 2:30 so not too bad at all as we had planned to get 3 carts at $45ea. Funny thing is he told us they were brand new and the one we had was far from that I wouldn't got into drive and reverse easy at all and made a hell of a noise when it missed the gear, but it wouldn't be fun to look back on without stuff like that. ![]() ![]() Headed south and I had planned our first stop to be at the sea turtle sanctuary. I had never been around sea turtles and really liked the idea of seeing some close up. I had no idea it would be as cool as it was. ![]() ![]() These reminded me of what i looked like before tanning for the trip with my wife. But seriously they were beautiful. One of them squirted me with their nose. ![]() ![]() After that it was time to head to the far south point and go see some cliffs. I will continue from here tomorrow. I am dragging this trip report out, but it gets good and i promise i will finish it. |

I'm telling you, the first and second day we practically had the place to ourselves. We could have all layed out in the buff on the beach and no one would have known except Ross who kept bringing us drinks every 5 minutes.
