Both systems would have caused a delay in this certain medication. It caused me to research the med more thoroughly. I found out somethings that I would've have known. So now I'm still taking the Med but I'm the one controlling how often I take it. The side affects are much les severe and the drug is allowed to do its job.

I've also had to be a zealous advocate to get what is needed (and yes, medically necessary) under my insurance contract. With no help from the insurance company I contracted with. Actually, "no help" would have been a blessing - more like "in spite of" my insurance company's adverse position regarding their contracted-for and paid-for obligations.
