10 years from now you'll be too old to receive those meds anyways.

Bottom line is we as a nation should find an answer because everyone here will someday find them selves old and in need.

Poll shows majority of Americans want the option of Government run health insurance – if they don’t have to pay for it.

National (US) Poll * July 1, 2009 * U.S. Voters Back Public Insura - Quinnipiac University – Hamden, Connecticut

Quote:
"In addition, seven out of ten voters aren't willing to chip in what amounts to the price of a cheese pizza per week - without extra toppings - in order to finance an overhaul," Brown added. "Opposition to paying any additional taxes ranges from 40 percent among lower paid voters to 52 percent among those making more than $100,000 per year."

"Americans say they want the government more involved in health care, but not in the health care received by themselves or their families. Seven in ten say they are getting good value for the health care they receive, but only a third think their friends, neighbors and countrymen are faring as well," said Brown.

"There seems to be a disconnect between the projected price tag that is being thrown around to overhaul the health care system and how much the vast majority of Americans are willing to pay for it. They don't mind the rich or business financing it, but they don't seem all that eager to do it themselves. It does raise questions about whether the American people understand the financial enormity of what is under consideration."

The WSJ takes issue with new Health Care legislation –
Obama health plan would repeal Erisa - WSJ.com

Quote:
One by one, President Obama’s health-care promises are being exposed by the details of the actual legislation: Costs will explode, not fall; taxes will have to soar to pay for it; and now we are learning that you won’t be able to “keep your health-care plan” either.
-------------
So when Mr. Obama says that “If you like your health-care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what,” he’s wrong. Period. What he’s not telling the American people is that the government will so dramatically change the rules of the insurance market that employers will find it impossible to maintain their current coverage, and many will drop it altogether. The more we inspect the House bill, the more it looks to be one of the worst pieces of legislation ever introduced in Congress

Shocking! Why would the WSJ dislike a plan that did not provide profit for insurance companies?

It seems the same old story from Wall street, let the poor die after we have used up their suitability for low cost labor.

Does that sound cynical?

Looks like the shine has left Barracko & friends health care plan, ABC News has doubts, Washington Post has doubts, & most of all the people have doubts.
The polls you libs live & die by are all down.
Hopefully we can recall this ship of fools before they completely bankrupt the country.

I really hate the way BO tries to steamroll every bit of legislation right on through congress with no one reading the bills. He doesn't even know what all is in that 1,000 + page reform. Slow down already, I thought transparency was part of your appeal.

Pelosi Says She Has Votes to Pass Health Care Overhaul in House

By James Rowley

July 22 (Bloomberg) -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today she has the votes to pass health-care overhaul legislation in the House.

Leaders are “making progress” with Democrats who want more cost cuts in the health-care system, Pelosi, a California Democrat, told reporters. “I have no doubt we have the votes on the floor of the House to pass this legislation,” she said. She added that she wants to squeeze more cost savings out of the system before setting a surtax on wealthier Americans’ incomes.

Rammed through? Really? Sheesh!

We have been trying to do this for over 10 years....time to make something happen. Most of the rest of the free, industrialized world already has it done and are reaping the benefits while we get more behind and more behind and more behind as it relates to the efficiency and the effectiveness of our healthcare system for all but the most technical and most expensive medical care procedures delivered to folks in the final days of their lives.

IMO we just need to pay attention more to the objective facts of what is going on around us....and get a new system started that takes the best from better programs already out there in other countries.

Watch this- Sick Around the World

I'd like to ask our Canadian friends, how much of your taxes per week goes to pay for your nationalised health care, plus how much does your health care cover if you get sick? Oh by the way I have a friend that lives in Canada. Her mother is dying of cancer and the local hospital has her in the hospials hospice program. However the hospital(government )portion of hospice is only temporary, if her mother outlives 90 days. The national health care system throws her out on the street until her family can get her on a private hospice program. Some compassion, why doesn't your government just issu cyanide pills when your born. That way when you reach a certain age, you can just bite down on the pill and save the government money.

Next

You know you libs are just full of contradictions are . Here your leaders such as Mayor Bloomberg of NY., Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Shoomer, Baracko Obama and company are so into telling us how we are to live. They want to deny us the pleasure of eating foods fried in trans fats, because it's supposedly bad for us. They don't want us to smoke, because it is ad for us. they don't want us to eat at McDonald's because it's bad for us.

Then last week Obama gets up and gives us a speech on his health care initiative. Part of his speech was trying to tell us that in order to keep the costs down, we should embrace hospice as a viable alternative. In other words we can't kill ourselves unless the government mandates how we can kill ourselves.

I love this. American's want more gov't health care, but only if they don't have to pay for it. Soooooo . . . who will pay for it? The Canadians, the French, the Brits, little green men? Oh, forgot, it will be our kids and grandkids. We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin.
