Before booking with Apple Vacations I searched on Tripadvisor for reviews. This is where I found info on their 5 apple square deals. You should read what others wrote:

We did the Apple 5* Square Deal in February. We were sent to the NH Riviera Cancun. They were overbooked and NH (not Apple) sent us to Paradissus (5 Golden Apple +) and gave us a voucher for a free week stay at NH later in the year. We had a great time and we are going back in October to NH, hopefully only having to pay for airfare and ground transportation. We would do this deal again in a minute.

We are back from our trip and we really lucked out! Apple vacations put us in the Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa which is a 6 apple gold on their website. We loved the resort and we had a awesome first experience in Mexico. It was hands down the best trip we had ever been on. We will definitelty use Apple Vacations and Square deal again!

WOW!! I hope we get that lucky. We have a group of 13 going on the 4 apple square deal all on the same booking number. Hopefully we get a good resort.

Did your square deal have a # associated with it? Example: 5 apple square deal #5.

They do have numbers associated with them, and that's how Apple knows what hotel you're going to. They know, no one else (including agents) know though!
