Pictures from Secrets Capri
Hi all, I have been reading the posts about Secrets Capri and I am very excited to be going in March with my husband. I have been waiting and waiting for someone to post pictures so I can see what the place really looks like. Not just those pictures they release to the public with the blond models on the beach. I want to know what a regular or deluxe room looks like (the company only gives pics of the jr. suite) and what the resort is like through the lens of a regular travelor. If anyone has pics that they have put on a website or up on webshots or ofoto or somewhere and they are willing to share I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance. |

No pictures yet, but I will try to get some out soon. As for the rooms, the deluxe suite looks identical to the jr suite with one exception, the area by the sliding glass door. In the jr suite, this area is extended by about the length of a sofa, and they have a loveseat, desk and chair. That is the only difference. They are marbled from the entry door all the way out onto your balcony. We actually stayed the first night in the jr suite, then moved to deluxe. We wanted a better view, and all the jr suites are ground level. They were very nice and moved us up to the 5th floor, which was just finished when we got there. Beautiful views, and the room actually felt larger because of the light that came in.

I just got back from secrets last night after 8 days there. The resort itself is awesome, the food is good the service is good not great but remember they are still new. The staff is great, Manuel, Mario, Rosa, Michelle are excellent. They only complaints I had was maid service was inconsistent, the breakfast managers were a little rude and they did not have enough shuttles to PDC. If you don't venture into PDC you are missing the boat. I hadn't been there since 1988 and I was blown away on how great this place has become. European influcence is everywhere, the bars and restaurants are great. Make sure to go to Frieda bar, OM and the bar on the roof across the street from frieda bar, it is exactly like the bed bAR IN SOUTH BEACH. Also check out the Blue mosquito, this hotel is incredible. I am sure it will be in magazines shortly. If anyone wants information just ask, I am looking into buying something there.

Hey Jaxi,
The fitness center is really top notch. All new cybex machines, treadmills, bikes and eliptical trainers. I really think most of the rooms are alike from what we could see when doors were open. We were in 251 and had a water view. I would recommend tipping, it doesn't have to be much but your service will be much better. We didn't go to any of the organized events, we spent are evenings in Playa. But I heard from other people that they weren't that great. Hope this helps, we will let you know about the pictures, you will love the place. |

jrgoblue,
Can you recommend any good dance clubs in town? Dance/hip hop type of music preferably. A group of us (5 couples in early 30s) will be arriving this Sunday the 14th and we definitely want to go dancing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!! Mary |

Marymisk,
I didn't go to any clubs, but I know the ****** gets pretty wild and a new area was about to open at the end of 5th ave south. It was built by an Italian architect. Carlos and Charlies just opened and Senoir Frogs is always happening. There are alot of places along 5th ave that I am sure get going after midnight. |

Thanks
Thanks for the info. I think we will definitely keep our deluxe room now. My husband was wondering about upgrading because he likes luxury and not really interested in the water stuff (can't swim). I chose PDC for us because of the many other things to do outside the water. I will keep looking for those pictures.
Again, Thanks! |

Room Types
TC,
Are all the Jr suites really on the first floor? If that's the case we'de rather have a view too! Has the landscape improved any? have they put trees in yet? One more thing, do they have hammocks? Thanks- Sarah |
