Wherre can I get a slushie (Slurpee)
Ok, I have done a search without finding what I wanted so...
Where can I find a slushie? There is nothing better one when I am walking around in the hot Playa summer. I know I can get frozen beverages of the alcoholic variety but I was wanted something along the lines of a slush puppie which is mostly frozen slushie ice and lotsa sugar loaded syrup. Thanks for any help, Sarrah |

Best slushie type drink that I have had in this area was on Cozumel down from the Hertz (downtown) car rental location. It is on the corner across from the church. Gives one another reason to go to Cozumel besides M. Sancho's and Coconuts
. It was great .

I love the slushies, but could do without the sugar and calories
!Here in AZ, a place called QT(convenience market-gas station chain) usually carries all kinds of slurpee/slushies--even the diet ones made by Crystal Light. At home, and when I'm in Playa, I throw about 2 cups of ice and 1 cup of whatever diet (or not diet) drink into a blender at "puree speed" and it turns out great (never tried it with a soda, though...)! Makes all kinds of flavors--just don't use any real fruit because then the texture is all wrong and it becomes a smoothie. BTW--I could swear I've gotten a regular slurpee at the 7-11 in Mexico. |

Hard to find 'em anymore. They used to have the machines in random convenience stores and I am pretty sure in places like K-mart, but now the only time I see them are in some mini-mart type places. They were always way lighter and fluffier??? than a slurpee and the ice crystals were very fine. I remember when you would use the straw you would get a big crater in the middle.
I actually bought this ridiculous snowman snowcone machine in hopes of re-creating the slush-puppy, but I can't find the right syrups. |

I get Diet Coke slushies at my local Co-op gas station all summer long! ![]() Mm mm good. This is a good question, Sarah. A slushie would go down wonderfully on a hot day anywhere. Isn't there a Dairy Queen on Fifth somewhere?
