Rock/Metal Music places

I'm a huge fan of Disturbed, Tool, NIN and Killswitch Engage. I think I know what answers I will get, but I'm throwing it out there- are there any places I can go to hear some kickbutt music like this? I'm not asking for any musical critique, just want to see if there's someplace I can cut loose! Muchas Gracias!

Huh . I don't think that JJ and the Nasty Bastards is going to do it for you all. And I personally have not heard of any places in Playa that play that kind of music, whatever "that kind" of music is.

The music scene in Playa pretty much consists of cover bands doing 60's,70's,80's and 90's classic rock. Better bring the Ipod.

****ears bleeding*****

Although I was listening to classic rock lunch the other day at a restaurant and they played Nirvana. HA! Signs of getting old at a young age.

What type of music does the band Crazy Train play? I saw them advertised at PG's.

At PG's Crazy Train plays some pretty "soft" rock/pop, more mainstream stuff. But I've heard that the band itself are pretty heavy.. I'm still waiting on them to bring a demo..

Oh, forgot to mention that I have been looking for a more "alternative" place, but so far I have not found any. But considering the way they advertise (i.e. not at all!) here it's not so strange.

Me and a colleague have discussed opening up a club with more alternative music, but I do not think that that plan will be realized in a looong while.

So, yeah, Ipod sounds like the best bet.. Hehe or drop my apartment for a couple of beer!

I always thought that you were pretty smart.............until I read this. Remember, the only people making lots of money here are the landlords .............and the tenants just keep paying their landlords.............and the landlords just keep upping the rents.............and the vicious cycle continues on an on until the tenants finally give up and go out of business, or worse.

It would be more of a "fun" thing to do.. Not with the intent of getting filthy rich or anything..

Good idea! Wonder if the DJs at that place uses mp3s, or CDs? If it's the first I have 250 GB of music they can use for the metal/rock evening..
