Mamitas Village

I searched for this and all I got were a million posts mentioning Mamita's Beach Club, of course.

What do you think of these condos?

We've worked in three of them to provide furniture, blinds, and our complete interior decorating service.

They have large lounges, good bathrooms and kitchens, with standard size bedrooms. The build quality is good with excellent windows and the smoothest walls in Playa!

The inner courtyard has a small cooling off pool. Penthouses have a good sized sun deck with jacuzzis.

The location is good, near the beach, and just two short blocks from the North end of 5th where there's lots of good restaurants.

I agree with David's assessment of these condos and I will add that the design he did for one of our customers there is simply gorgeous. Super chic and kind of retro.

If you are a beach person, you will love the location. If you are a pool person, keep looking.

I stayed there in June 2008 and thought the location was great and the condos were nicely decorated, roomy, and well constructed. I agree that the pool is nothing to get excited about and seemed to be more decorative than functional.

Thanks, guys.

I'm looking for a two bedroom, each with a large bed and each with its own bathroom. We also want a pool and a hot tub.

I had it narrowed down to Mamitas Village and Royal Oasis, which both fit the bill.

I like the rooftop area of Royal Oasis, but I really like that the unit we're looking at in Mamitas Village is poolside. The one in Mamitas Village also has a more comfortable looking common living area.

I can see that the pool at Mamitas Village is small. I don't need to swim laps or anything. I just want something to dip into after a long day at the beach. Maybe a pool I can sit in while enjoying a cold beer or two.

I even asked the guy at Mamitas Village that I would be renting from. He said it would be fine to have friends over.

The pool at Mamitas Village is more like a puddle, not convinced it should be called a "pool" really. I'd take Royal Oasis too.
