Henna Artisit in PDC
HI All,
I'm new here but hoping you can help. We are getting married in PDC and are looking for a henna artist to do traditional henna tattoos (not the rub on kind sold to kids) on our hands the day before the ceremony. Anyone know of a henna artist in the area? Thanks, Carla

In Playa you will see shops everywhere advertising henna. Be cautious, for the most part they are using black hair dye. Not a huge problem unless you have a reaction to it, then it can scar. True henna is brown, if what they are using is black, it's not henna. That said, I've gotten them a couple of times with no problems.

there is a place on fifth, around 14th street i think, where they also sell souvenirs and jewelry. they use henna, with a black coloring to make it easier to see when applying. It turns brown when you wash it about fifteen minutes afterward. It stays on for about two weeks, before completely fading.

Coffee cafe has a henna artist come to the cafe a few months back.
I heard she was very good. I know they have a myspace page...maybe you could email them and ask who they were using... |
