There's been some jibber jabber around here from time to time about how some Republican/Conservative types like to bend the Constitution. It's not always that black and white as this article demonstrates....And these were Bush/Regan appointees!!

Of course we don't. I always thought of the franchise as being equally shared between the ACLU and the NRA.

Seriously, do you think that Ashcroft should be prosecuted and that this man's constitutional rights were violated? From what little I know of this case, it seems like the latter might be true but I hesitate on who should be prosecuted for it. How high up did the calls to deny due process go? This is as sticky as prosecuting the CIA in torture, imo.
