Because you are not listening? And we ARE doing things to try to slow or mitigate the change...just not enough yet, or quickly enough.

Sucks for them that they didn't wait a few more weeks to post their letter; they had the misfortune to quote the IPCC as one of their sources for "scientific consensus" just before the entire phony exercise that were the various IPCC reports were unmasked as fraudulent.

I am listening. I have the news channels on all day while I work and not a whole lot of reporting of climate change.

Did you complete your analysis of how many of the myriad reports purporting to buttress the theory of AGW have been tainted by the use of the fraudulent CRU data; perhaps there are no babies in the bathwater at all?

Did you read and analyze what was written within; how many errors and fallacious connections did you encounter?

Did you read the supporting data referenced in your charts, i.e. Hansen et al; did you notice the plateauing of temperature in the early part of this decade, with subsequent cooler values obtained since? Have any of these data, which represent mean surface temperature, been correlated with those data obtained via satellites; how were the data collected from sites affected by "urban heat sources" corrected?

The breadth of earth scientists polled is explained, as is who actually responded and at what rate, and the percentage by response to the two questions which focus on consensus. The connection between the scientists' responses and those of the public (the Gallup poll cited) is perhaps unfair because the public does not generally base their conclusions on the kind of data which scientists do; but, I think that was merely comparative.

Did you encounter a fallacious connection in the survey cited?
