OK, there is an incline from the street that leads you along the building to the restaurant entrance. It's a bit steep so you'll need a push from behind.

Then from the pool facing decking there is a gentler slope down to the pool which'll lead you to the beach front decking and tables.

inclines are ok (i'm electric so no problem for me) as long as its wide enough with no scary drop offs

thanks for the recon!

What else would you expect from a designer, copywriter and typographical expert?

Oh, and he's British too.

Great dinner at Wicky's last night. Shrimp cocktail, big shrimp, 2 sauces, delicious crabcake, arugala salad with goat cheese, bacon and tobacco onions.
NY Strip, cooked to perfection, Lob mac n' cheese, red wine, assorted sorbets, cappuccinos, Gran Mariners......all good and the kicker was the promotion, 60% off!!!!

The space is gorgeous, we will be back!!!

Thanks to all the Wicky's crew, our server Luis, Andrew, Linda and Dameon for a wonderful night.

That sounds nice! They are did a nice job for us at Taste of Playa and I am looking forward to our first visit. To be fair, I'm going to give them a few weeks to cut their chops before I go in for a proper review and write up. Every new restaurant has wrinkles to iron out in the beginning.

Ate there on Sunday

Just had dinner there last night. Only 3 other tables. Beautiful place and the location right on the beach is the best. Service was excellent.
My friend and I shared a Wicky's salad and it was just ordinary. Iceberg lettuce etc. Would try something difference next time.
I enjoyed the grilled fish with a mango coulis. Not enough of the mango sauce but fish was delicious.
My friend had the rib eye steak and it was GREAT. Cooked to perfection.
We also ordered two sides. The twice baked potato was hugh and not worth it. Seemed like it had been prepared hours before and reheated. Dry! The asparagus though was delicious.
We shared a rich chocolate cake for desert that was wonderful.
All in all, we had a very nice time. Wish the menu was a little more varied with some lower cost choices.
The big draw is the location so I hope they adjust the menu some so it can become a frequent dining experience instead of a "special occasion" place.

What's the deal with Wicky's? I went in, and was one of 4 people inside on a Wed evening. Had some drinks. They were ok. It felt too fancy-pants inside, so we went to Diablitos instead. That place was crazy good! Shrimp quesadillas were small in portion, but so good! Did I just go on an off night? Or an off week? It never looked as packed as the others.

Best burger in town?

I have been in Playa for the last week and have been there twice. The all american angus burgers are great! We will have a late lunch inside today (different menu).

spent the afternoon there and loved the burger! Went back for dinner and it was crazy expensive and a little too stuffy for my taste. The food was very good but I would rather cook just as good of a meal at home and save my money for someplace else.
