"Will I get in trouble if I say that I think that, as it is right now that the beach is to wide. It has been said by the beach restoration people that they figure they will lose about half of what they did. I think that would be OK. "

Well, if they lose half of the restoration and beach clubs expand their lounge chairs, we'll be about back where we started!

Beach restore

Well this morning (Friday) they have a huge row of sand piled in front
of the new El Taj and Playa Palms . A backhoe has been pulling sand
back from the waters edge all night . Not sure of their theory !!
Will have to wait and see.

Looks to me like they're going to extend that cliff from the GPR right along the whole beach. Heard anything Steve?

The beach is too wide..... All the good looking girls that use to just squeeze by the foot of my lounger are now 50 meters away.

Edit: I don't get this latest work, why form these big cliffs at the waters edge?

We're at Aquazul and are equally baffled by the dropoffs at the water's edge. We really thought that they'd smooth things out, or maybe that the tides would work their magic. We're pretty disappointed to have to drive to a decent beach but what can you do?

Yes i agree the beaches look much better and im sure everyone is happier w them. i just have a question for a local or someone who is there... Is the sand still powdery and white like originally? how tulum is still currently? or is it all coarse and a little bit yellow how cancun was a few years back? its hard to tell from the webcams. thanks -Justin
