Survey crew was down at the end of Calle 4 Saturday measuring water depth and beach. They had a guy swim out with his transit pole while the guy on shore took readings.

The pier was put in (think without proper approvals) and never really used. I heard it was being used to unload cruise ship people.

Grand Real used Sandbags and whale tubs filled with concrete to rebuild the beach area. It will be nice to have the beaches rebuilt.

Thanks for photos!

It's the opening of the rail link to the newly opened Tulum International Airport. Chichen Itza International is now on the ropes.

Steve,

Thank-you for this.

It is 4.2km from the north pier all of the way down to the south end of the phase 2 resort area. If this all happens it will be very nice.

As long as it can be done from a beach chair while drinking beer there will be no "mess up"

Silly question- Beach Access during restoration?

Any idea how much of the beach is blocked off during this restoration, from what anyone has seen from Cancun?
Is the 15th when they will start bringing equip,or the full deal.
I have seen some of the photos from Cancun. It appears to be quite a process. We are arriving on the 18th of Jan.,we will see soon enough I guess.
