Coming back to PdC.... woohoo!

The wife and I vacation in Playa last year and fell in love with it. We toyed with the idea of doing some place new this year, but couldn't bring ourselves not to go back to Playa. So, I just booked our air fare. We'll be there 12 days this time, from 2/19 to 3/2. I can't wait.

Satisfied indeed, thank you.

The wife and I have been to a number of Caribbean locales; St. Thomas, St. Martin, Bermuda, Bahamas, Grand Cayman and San Juan. None have everything that Playa has, in respect to beauty, night life, culture, quality beaches and activities.

we must be twins

Greg, I was going to post pretty much the exact same thing! My husband and I went to PDC last year and I've longed to go back. My husband, however, insisted that we try something else. We've been to St. Croix, stayed at Cozumel years ago, etc., so we researched and researched. In the end, he finally agreed to go back to PDC. I am so damn excited. Every place else we looked was either waaaay too expensive for what little we'd get, or it just seemed too Cancun-y.

We're aiming for mid to late February... I hope we find availability at one of the hotels or condos soon so I can book our flight. Yee haw!

TomJoMo,

That's a shame. Enjoy your stay.

Special K,

Are you struggling to find availability? If so, what sort of hotel are you looking for?

Hey Greg! Not struggling at all just yet. I just started e-mailing folks yesterday through this site. We are actually thinking of staying at a villa with a full kitchen since we will be going with another couple. I am leaning towards VillasCaribe, and I have also contacted Peggy on this site about her condo toward the north end of town...

Last year we stayed at Riviera del Sol and it was fantastic, but we'd like to try something new this year. I've always wanted to staty at Tortuga, but I know February is booked solid in most places. Hopefully we won't have much trouble...

It sure is great in Playa Del Carmen! We went to Cozumel in 2001 and took the ferry from PDC and thought it beautiful! We went again last year, and decided to go again this year, February 5-15/04! PDC has culture, beauty, lovely beaches and water and great shops! We've been to Maui, Puerto Vallarta, Victoria Island, and Cozumel! PDC is for sure my favorite! We're taking another couple with us this year. I look forward to strolling down 5th Ave. and deciding on where we will enjoy supper. This year we're also not taking our children. I'll miss them but this will be sort of a second honeymoon!
