Smile Playa Del Carmen Babysitters

Hola! Need a Babysitter??! Playa is a great place to bring the kids, but it is also a great place for a romantic night on the town. My name is Maria and I provide vacation childcare here in Playa. I have been babysitting for over 10 years. I am trained and board certified in early learning and child development. I have and have a genuine desire to see every child excel. I been providing vacation childcare here in playa for a little over a year. I recently added reliable, energetic, girls and one wonderful guy to my babysitting team. We are available where and when you parents need us. All babysitters speak fluent Spanish and English. (French and Italian also available) All babysitters are trained, fun, qualified and CPR/first-aid certified. References happily provided.
Adios and happy vacationing!!

Great idea!

What kind of rates for a 4yr old and an 11 yr old during the day? We want to go for a dive but need someone to watch the kids

What about for an evening? Where does the babysitting occur? In our hotel or in the babysitters home? Is this a new business? Do you have any Playa Info references? Are the babysitters male or female?

Excellent questions Jo, loking forward to a posting here with the answers.

Great Questions. Thank you for your interest. Our rates start at 12usd per hour with a two hour minamum. The Babysitters come to you. We are happy to send a babysitter to your hotel, a day at the beach or to to accompany you on a tour, but we do not send children to the homes of babysitters. Most of our babysitters are female, but we do have a wonderful boy sitters. I can not give references here, as we work for families who may not want their information on the web. If you send me a private message or an e-mail I would be happy to provide you with a list of references. I hope that answers all your Questions.
Let me know if there is anything more I can help you with.
Happy vacationing
-Maria

If you are willing... it would be great if you could post some feedback on this thread after you use these services as there are likely many people who would consider these services, but would be nervious to leave their kids with strangers in a foreign country.

Oh I plan to give the outcome. I have had much luck and try to give constructive thoughts on topics when they apply to our adventures in the area.

14 days and counting til I leave the snowy north.

Cool Review us.

We are all waiting for that review. I wanna know how Tania did. She said your children were amazingly sweet, but what did they think of her?

Babysitting New Years Eve

Okay I am home and ready to reply to the thread. Sorry we did not arrive home until late on January 4th.

I would first off like to mention these are not my children, we had a family wedding in Mahahual and then spent New Years in Playa, these were the children of a very close family friend.

Girls ages 3 years and 11 months. The girls had been sick for almost the entire trip, coming down with something broncial days after our arrival. They had not had a good nights sleep and we were worried about them as one of the ladies actually attended the Hospetien due to her breathing which seemed to be = to what the girls had been fighting.

This being said, the sitter who arrived was fantastic. She supplied an extra cellular phone to Mom and Dad also asking for our cell phone number just incase there was something with the phones she provided. We were off for our New Years Eve fun with no feelings of worry at all. Mom and Dad were so happy to be out on their own and feeling very satisfied and not worried at all about the sitter. Unfortunately Mom after so many nights of no sleep almost fell asleep at the dinner table and their night was cut short, just so she could sleep.

What we did find out is we will definitely utilize the services again if we are in need, the sitter was extremely organized and very nice to deal with, the rate was discussed prior to Mom and Dad departing just to confirm all parties were aware of everything.

All in All a great experience and we would definitely recommend the service to others.

Great review. Appreciate this as next time, my hubby and I may consider taking the kids (10,3) with us but our only thought was hiring a sitter or paying for Grandma to go so we could get some alone time too. Paying a sitter is a much cheaper way to go! I will keep this in mind so that I can ease my concerns about leaving my children in the hands of a babysitter in a foreign country.

BTW... how do they get into the resort? Do they get a special pass for the evening?

I would love to read reviews from anyone else on using the services of this babysitting company.

Thank you!
