SOH....Save Our Honeymoon

Can someone help me? I'm trying to plan my honeymoon, and I'm trying to get feedback on any of the following hotels that I've been looking at:

1. Aventura Spa Palace
2. Bahia Principe Tulum-Akumal
3. Desire Resort & Spa
4. Gran Porto Real Resort & Spa
5. Mosquito Blue

So far, I'm pushing towards the Desire and the Grand Porto. My soon-to-be wife loves the whole pampering thing, and I definitely love the ALL INCLUSIVE thing. You all seem so knowledgable, so I could help but ask for your assistance. Thanks in advance, and everyone have a blessed and safe New Years

I've done El Gran Porto Real and enjoyed it emensly. But at the risk of sounding like a Playa absolute philistine -- If you really want to pamper your new bride go on a Holland America Caribbean Cruise abord the new ships ms Zuiderdam or ms Oosterdam. It'll cost about the same as a week at an AI, only the food, the shows, the staff service and everything about it is steps above a land based stay. Ask about special Honeymoon Packages.

Cruise

I agree that cruises are great (I've been on many),but so is a land vacation. I am going to PDM in March and want time there to see all of the attractions, eat at a lot of the restaurants and dive, dive, dive!!

Holland America caters to the over 70 crowd and does not seem to be the one to choose for a honeymoon.

gran porto real

We just came back from pdc in november on our honeymoon. It was a very nice hotel and in a great localtion. Service was wonderful and the room was beautiful. But on the down side the food was average and I did hear people being moved to the sister hotel in cancun due to overbooking. There is also a rumor that they have started constrution on another hotel across the street which is making a lot of noise. We did one dive with abyss and they were wonderful but we also did some diving over in cozumel which was so much better because of the clarity of the water and the reefs. Good luck and congrats. We will be heading to cozumel in may.
