Report I saw showed they had plenty of DNA evidence all around.

The defense was could not even call their own DNA experts.They did not find any of her prints or anything else of hers at the crime scene,nothing.

Trial took 2 1/2 years. Appeal will take 2 years. Napoleonic law does suck.

I followed this case thru the Seattle Times paper (her home town) and it seems to me that she somehow had a part in this. May not have been murder just rough and strange sex games mixed with lots of drugs. I do not think she would have been convicted in the USA tho.

In Italy it is the opposite of the U.S.In Italy you are presumed gulity,and the burden of prove is on the defense.

Makes the U.S. system seem pretty good.

And the level of guilt is different, it not guilty without a doubt but a prepondurance of guilt that can get ya 26 years.

Prosecutors asked for life but judge only gave her 26 years. Read that in Italy that is pretty common. One of the other defendents got 30 years.The one that was tried with her got 25 years.
