Loving your report. Great way to make the Riviera Maya feel a little less far away. Thanks for taking the time to post!

Thanks Linda. And I know what you mean. I was trying to post the next day's report yesterday, but was pretty busy at work. Will try to do it today... hopefully my boss leaves early today.

Sunday, November 22, 2009:
So I showered, changed and waited for the other two sleepy heads to wake up. Decided to take a little walk around the street next to us. I had seen this house that I really liked on BuyPlaya so I decided to see if I could find it. I walked down the street, took some pictures of the golf course and to my surprise the house was a few blocks from our condo! By the time I came back from my walk, Michael was showered and changed and Camille was getting ready. I found out that right after I left for my walk the cleaning people showed up so they had to get up! Yes!! Once everyone was ready we went down Juarez to find a place for Michael to cut his hair, but we didn’t find one. So we turned around and went towards 5th and decided to go have lunch at La Terraya—or at least I think that is where we went. We ordered 2 agua de Jamaica’s 1 agua de horchata, guacamole, French fries and 3 orders of the Mayan Chicken. It was pretty good.
Afterwards we walked down 5th so Camille could look for a long bag/purse and Michael could keep pricing his calendar. Found the purse and the calendar then walked to Constituyentes to have dessert at La Cacao---Yummy!! From there we walked to 30th right across the street from Mega to a place where Michael could get a haircut. After we took a taxi back to the condo, rested for 2 hours before getting ready for Vanessa’s (Lolabella) Party at Zenzi’s.
We left for Zenzi’s around 8:45 and walked from the condo. People that I knew there was Vanessa (of course), Heather, Marissa, Keirsten, Jez, Russell, Laura, and Carlos. People that I have not met, but saw there were Paulo, Judy (Judy blue eyes) Jason and his wife (Gingelle) and a whole bunch of other peeps. It was great seeing everyone again. And Jason kept his promise of being the official tequila guy! He had on a Speedo and a shot carrier with a bottle of centenario… Yikes! Ambience and music was great, everyone had a good time. We left around 11:30 or so because we wanted to get up early to go to Axumal, so it was an early night for us. Camille had a little accident with her flip flop coming out of the restroom (her sandal broke). So when we started walking home, she couldn’t make the sandal work, so we tried to find a place that would be open where she could buy another pair—but of course at that time and on a Sunday, only the bars were open. By then, Michael had taken off his socks so that she wouldn’t walk around barefoot. We were also hungry, but Camille wanted something different other than tacos (can you believe it!)
We ended up on 8th and 10th at Don Mario’s. Well that was a big mistake on our part. Not only was the food expensive, but it was the worst food we’ve ever had in Playa! We ordered Guacamole, bruchetta, 2 agua de Jamaica, 1 agua de horchata, shrimp with Ajillo for Michael Penne Carbonara for Camille and I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. The guacamole, chips, shrimp, vegetables, spaghetti and the penne were extremely salty! OMG I think I probably took 4 bites out of my spaghetti and Camille might have taken a few more than me, but neither of us could eat our food! When the waitress came by to ask us how everything was, I had to tell her and she was like everything? I said yes, everything, even the guacamole! She might have said sorry, but I honestly don’t remember. Some guy came up to her when she walked away from our table and she told him what I had told her. He walked over to the kitchen and he started yelling at the cook! The waitress had taken our food so she could box it up for us and Camille saw they guy grab a piece of our pasta to taste it! We couldn’t believe it!! Afterwards, the guy walked out of the kitchen and I thought he would come over and apologize or something, but nope instead he walked right past us and went outside then he walked back in through the side door that is on 10th! I couldn’t understand that! Why wouldn’t he just walk by our table, instead of going all the way outside so as not to pass by our table? We paid $634 pesos for the nastiest meal we’ve had in Playa! We grabbed a taxi and went home. We got in around 1:15 a.m. so much for going to sleep early! Had trouble sleeping almost the entire night… maybe it was all that salt in my system!

Our drinks/cameras... you would think with more than 1 camera we would have taken more pictures! but nope.

Really huh! Well that is why they say, you should always be nice to everyone... you never know who you're going to meet!

Oh Syl... that is too funny. I actually heard him telling I think it might have been Transit about that story... or it could have been someone else at the dog wash! I don't remember, but I do remember hearing him telling someone the serial killer story.
