Like I said, it doesn't matter to me, but it seems like it's generally liked by those that chimed in...

Just because we are Playa amigos, is there anything Mexican in the vicinity??? Bulldog was fine otherwise.

There's the whole "west side" (actually straight south of downtown proper) just across the Wabasha Bridge.

Boca Chica Restaurante is true authentic Mexican, and very, very good. We catered from them for our reception after our Playa wedding...

We'd be out of the hustle and bustle of the Winter Carnival stuff down there (read: parking would be easier)...

I'm torn. Boca chica sounds good and I like that area but at the same time, the festivities of the Winter Carnival were kind of the point.

I just read this on the Frozen 5k and Half Marathon's Facebook page...

"A BIT OF ADVICE: If you're going to want to get in your car and leave downtown St. Paul right away after the race, you might want to park in the surface lot. Cars won't be able to drive out of the ramp until after the city reopens the streets around there to traffic - 11:30 at the earliest and maybe Noon."

So if we decide to go to Boca Chica the runners need to NOT park in the ramp... which one of the runners told me they do.

Boca Chica is on Concord Street on the opposite side of the Mississippi River from downtown Saint Paul, so that wouldn't apply. Now, if the Bulldog (in downtown) ends up being the peepmeet headquarters, then that information would be applicable.
