Just don't be a complete idiot and you should be fine

E- never heard of him- I'll check him out. But 100mi/wk I will never do that in my lifetime. I can pretty much guarantee it.

So the run was a FAIL again (what IS it about this week). The trails are, indeed, blocked off by snow-laden trees, so running them really isn't an option. Jeremy took some nice pics, though I guess it's dvd time for me. No way I'm driving anywhere else to run in this weather!

Sorry it didn't work out for your run. Spring can't come soon enough, I bet!!!

I could never run 100 miles a week. Insane mileage.....crazy.

YES!! I am soo sick of winter this year. I'm usually ok with it (somewhat), but this year I'm done. No more cold.

Zoe was so sad that we didn't keep going- it was like an obstacle course for her Over the tree, under the tree, through the tree, under the tree, over the tree.........

Now I'm getting scared.

Nice 45 minutes on the bike trainer yesterday.

Then today back to tempo runs on the treadmill. 1 mile warm up, 4X(5 minutes hard, 5 easy) I upped the pace and it was a big struggle to do all. #4 Really wiped me out. Total of 5 miles ran. I will not be increasing speed or time next week.

It's great to wake up and see my neighbor had snowblowed my driveway.

Good for you! But... brr! Maybe this weekend... it's supposed to warm up a little. I can try to get out there during the warmest time of the day...

Oh yeah... I am O-V-E-R it. I want warm sun during the day and a fresh breeze blowing in my window at night.

I got on the treadmill again today. Another 2.5 miles in 30 mins doing intervals. Felt more pangs of weirdness in my calf. It's sending me a clear message... take. it. slow. I did a ton of core and upper body weight training too... there will be no laughing tomorrow!!!

do they make cigarettes with less nicotine or no nicotine? when i quit chewing i had to go the sunflower seed route. it was more of a habit of what i was chewing on than the nicotine for me. i just needed something to replace the chew so i wouldn't feel like i needed to be doing something like spitting. does that make sense?

Blech. This is such a meh week. I have a 2 hour delay this morning so I did my dvd- didn't get to it last night because the power went out So yesterday was a big, fat, lazy day I'm still planning to do some weights late tonight when I get home- I hope I'm not too wiped out. I have not run ONCE this week. Saturday's going to have to be the day..... Like I said- meh.

Just don't pass me in your mini-van on a residential street after tailgating me (while I was doing the speed limit) and then flip me off (all while your christian cross dangles from your rear view mirror & your holier than thou bumper stickers scream at me as you cut me off) and we'll be all set!

Yeah, that was a good day!

I'm with you!! Total meh week. In fact, I just realized I haven't done a damn thing! Tonight is Bosu so I'll kick it up a notch. I did have an hour long massage on Tuesday night. Between the massage and yoga, my back is feeling MUCH better! Will be increasing the yoga, in addition to the cardio.

I should add--I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-hypocrite.

OMG - I need to get my butt out and run & ride if I'm going to try to keep up with you guys on a run in PDC! I know, my plan will be to get you drunk the night before and then wake you up @ 6 for a run. Darn! JG has to be on good behavior b/c of the kiddies. What to do...what to do.....

Lots of entertaining posts above guys!

I did my first intervals on the treadmill since the frozen 1/2 this AM. Felt good to kick my butt, however I certainly was dragging. I was running next to one of my students who is a distance runner in track, and my interval pace was his easy jog pace.

Let's go beer for beer until one of us quits and then we'll run the next AM. Or you could go tequila for tequila with TG and I'll match you a beer per tequila.

But no fears - I run slow in the Mexican heat! I can't speak for DavidB though.

I don't drink beer so I'll have to go glass of wine for your glass of beer. I'll be drunk after 2 glasses since I'm a light weight. I can only drink tequila once I've had a few glasses of wine and it can only be the really, really good stuff or

Now, hubby will go tequila for tequila with TG! But, then I'LL pay for it....since he gets quite amorous on tequila....or any alcohol come to think of it!! LOL!

While I was lifting I was thinking about you guys...... Are you following a specific diet? Or do you just cut out the crap food like fast food? I am battling what I eat right now even though before lifting I did the pasta and tuna but I could eat double meat cheeseburgers, pizza, chicken fried steak, etc every day.....Is anyone else having the craving issues?

Dude. You are totally and literally going to run circles around me in Playa Either that, or you'll be strolling next to me as I chug, chug, chug along

Nice job with the workouts, Kalli You should definitely listen to your body, though- take it easy. And you should come to PLaya next week- it'll be a sure cure for the winter blues!!

Hope Bosu went well! I just keep telling myself that next week is a new week and I'll kick it up then.

Nice JG!! My run is your grandma's easy jog, so I can relate to how you felt

The kid I tutor on Weds bailed on me today, so I came home to do a quick workout before going out tonight. So glad I got the upper weights in early, as I'm WIPED now. Who knew babysitting for an infant could be so draining? I'm having some elbow pain, so I did something different on the weights today. I lowered them quite a bit and did more reps. Jeremy had me pause halfway through the range of motion on each rep- OMG- that is SO hard! I am SORE right now- and with very little elbow pain
