Playa bums in April, 2010 version

A few years ago started a thread that took on a life of it's own.

Many friendships were made over just one thread. How cool is that? Anyhow, we (Annette and Derek) are going to be back April 28-May 5 of this year.

Throwing it out there now cause anticipation is a big part of vacation. We would like to see some more crazy Playa bums. You don't have to be crazy though. What is a Playa bum? To me, it's a person(s) who likes to travel to the coolest beach town, kick back and relax, enjoys meeting and partying with fellow vacationers, and who left stress back at home. It's in wikipedia look it up.

One of my favorite places to hang out in town to drink and be happy is PG's Sandbox and Grill.

Open for other suggestions though. C'mon bums let's do this! Where's Eddie?

Will be there from April 16-May 15th staying at the Royal Oasis ...PG's is just a few steps away...hopefully you can get a bunch together for a drink at the Sandbox.

is a cool place. Last March when we were there I learned what Curling was as there was a championship match on the tele. Should be a good turnout, and that's cool you won't have far to go to stumble back to the room.

After having decided months ago that I simply did not have enough vacation time in 2010 to do France, two weeks in Florida (extended family gathering) and Playa, we made the decision yesterday to come down after all! We will be in Playa April 24 to May 1.

Just my wife and I are coming down this time - kids are getting older and can't afford to miss a week of school.

We are staying at Secrets Capri but plan on being in town now and again to eat, stroll, and shop!
Hope to see some of you then!

I noticed you stayed at Club Yebo before. What did you think of the hotel?
We are looking forward to relaxing on the beach at Playa Palms. We have stayed there twice.

It's great to have a cooler of cold beer and enjoy the food from the beach club

Hi kingsfan! Actually, I stuck that in our signature because that is our next trip down this coming April. So, we have not stayed there yet but want to give it a try because we are in love with Playa Palms and are expecting it to be just as nice. Besides, we can use the pool and beach at PP, so why not stay at Yebo for 1/2 the price?

Kingsfan I just noticed you guys are in Sacramento! We are in San Jose! How funny it is to go all the way down to Playa to meet a neighbor!

I was just San Jose for a workshop...I stayed at the Double Tree.

Hello all! I'm new to this forum. Just found it earlier today. I've enjoyed reading all the advice and trip reports. My hubby and I will be in Playa April 14-21 and staying at RPDC. Anyone else staying there?
