Pictures of the North End of Playa

Things are changing a lot, new places like the Canibal Royal, and old ones like La Cueva del Chango make the North Side of Playa a very nice place to stay

The Canibal Royal, from the same owners as Santanera and Diablito chachacha

The elements beachclub

La cueva del chango

Elements Beach Club

Is the Elements Beach Club open to the public? If so how much is a chair, umbrella? Looks very nice.

As of right now the Elements Beach Club is private to the guest and residents of The Elements. However, the Canibal Royal Beach Club next door is open to the public.

How would you rate it up against Kool or El Faro Beach Clubs? How is the parking?

It has a vibe all it's own - more bohemian. Definitely not as luxurious as El Faro or as spacious as Kool, but definitely worth a visit. The music is funky and very catchy. Haven't eaten there yet - soon.

Wow, and I was looking at some picture of when we stayed at the Rivera del Sol 6 years ago and there was nothing between them and Mamitas and not much to the north of them except La Cueva del Chango

thanks for the shots.

I'd recommend saving them as jpegs next time smaller filesizes and better looking for images.

Gee I bought my first condo which is right next to Riviera del Sol, 9 years ago. There was raw sewage on calle 30 then. I wish that I had taken photos of that area then.......what a changes. The block between calle 28 and 30 on AV. 5 has more eateries, ice cream, Starbucks, etc. than any other one block area on 5th and there is always "action" there.

We will be there in two weeks. I will post a review. Any other options for lunch that is a close walk on the beach?
