He is illiterate so signing papers is meaningless.
Wife died and he couldn't afford to keep and feed the child, so he took it to the orphanage, hoping to get on his feet eventually and get the child back.
But too late! Madonna bought him. Do I sound like I am jaded when it comes to corrupt international adoptions, yep...there are too many cases like this.
