I read it and I disagree with Bush on several points. This was a compromise within the Republican party.
There is no punishment for breaking our laws, I believe that there has to be.
I also believe that they must return to their home country BEFORE any kind of temporary status is given.
Bus tickets to Brownsville from Dallas are $46, you can buy a lot of those with $100 million saved from 1 hospital alone.
It also states "no amnesty" but doesn't put forth any time frames for the temporary workers.
And I disagree that Bush (or most politicians for that matter) are aware of immigration conditions other than the sheet of paper that is put in front of them.
