I know for a fact that they had Jesse Ventura not having a chance in Minnesota a number of years back and he won. I bet we could come up with countless examples of polls being pretty inaccurate.

I find it amusing that the Dems get all excited every election relying on these polls and then find themselves terribly disappointed. I wonder how many will threaten to move to Canada again?
The exit polling caused them to get their undies in a bundle for awhile until they realized Francois Kerry lost. Reuters Zogby polls were also fairly inaccurate if i remember correctly. There are so many polls at so many points in time that they are almost laughable. About 20% of voters are undecided and they will decide the election. Highly vocal advocates still have to get off their asses and get to the polls. This has been a problem for the dems. Repubs have a good last minute ground game. I am actually encouraged by the dems fielding some moderate candidates and would vote for a few if they were running here.
