we stayed at the Playacar in March and really enjoyed it. We walked over to the Tequila once to check out the pool and honestly liked the Playacar better. We never even left the resort to eat at the others. The beach is close to the pool which is nice because you have to go there to get your drinks.
I haven't been away much so maybe I don't expect as much as others but was happy there.
