So, Thor, if someone makes hateful racial slurs and speaks up in support on the reinstatement of slavery, we should be OK with that? Of course not.
Freedom of speech includes the responsibility to accept the consequences of your words. If you say them, you should be willing to pay the price that may come. It is called conviction. Rosa Parks had it. Martin Luther King, JFK, Ronald Reagan, Pope Paul, Mother Teresa, and many others had or have it too. You cannot say something that is controversial and then whine like a little baby when someone calls you on it. If you do, your words mean little.
