I am sure that some liberals have gone out and purchased the CD to make a statement of their own. In fact, I know this is true, because I heard John Kerry going on about how important the Dixie Chicks were to American music history. What garbage. There are about as important as Kajagoogoo.
First of all, I'm not supporting the Dixie Chicks...don't like the music, never have..nover bought a CD never gave 'em a dime and probably never will . I just think in an age when actors, radio hosts and politicians are escaping to 'rehab' to cover their crimes /mistakes/words(and try to play the ultimate victim) and get sympathy for it, it's a bit refreshing for someone to take the heat and stand by their words (and benign words compared to the others) instead of caving to the masses. If it was a rap group, a rock group, or George Clooney this wouldn't have gone as far as it did.
