I am all for their right to express their opinion. More power to them. I am not OK with their whining about the backlash. If they had conviction, they would not have apologized and stood by their words. George Clooney, who I disagree with on a lot of issues, at least has the conviction to pay whatever price he has to. He is my favorite actor, and I admire him. The Dixie Chicks first waffled, and are now trying to claim that they were unfairly treated. They are making a second career as professional victims. Probably better, as their 15 minutes were almost up, anyway.
