It all comes down to the listening public. Like Bufante said, Green Day punishes Bush in every song...but Green Day listeners eat it up because generally they are younger, anti-establishment types. Not so for DC fans.

The DC's never apologized, just so you know. I applaude them for that. Their latest song is all about this.
Of course it is. It is all they have. A one trick pony with a song and a movie. Whats next "I support the Dixie Chicks in Their Fight Against Bush Imperialism" t-shirts? This just begs the question of who it really is that wants to keep this little issue in the spotlight.

They wanted to build a fan base using Jethro and MaryBelle Six pack, which is not too hard to do these days when it comes to country music. Now that their fan base has evaporated, they have nothing but the event left. They are where they started, irrelevant in the music scene. They spoke up and got the ultimate smack down.

They will have to be happy with their new liberal elitist fan base. Its small, but the cocktail parties are nice.

I love democracy. Vote with your wallet.
