Anyone been to El Sarape on Juarez of late. How does it compare to El Fogon.

Thanks

Good food, similar menu to El Fogon. Nice tacos al pastor. Last time I ate there, I was so amazed watching a beautiful thin German girl eat her body weight in meat I didn't take much notice of what I was eating.

Not a bad place, what I like best about it is that it is on Juarez, which is a great place to walk up and down in the evenings and mingle with local residents.

I don't know what each item was, but they ate it all. You will just have to go there and have that and them you can tell us, how about that? I do think that this place is very good and often overlooked by many peeps.

el Serape

El Serape, on Juarez, is a surprisingly good restaurant. It has been around a long time and it certainly looks like it should be a tourist joint with mediocre food. But it is not.

Even though the menu has pictures (usually a dead givaway for bad food), the tacos are very good, and in my humble opinion, the posole is the best in Playa. The service is good and the prices are reasonable. I find this place to be especially friendly to families.

I went to both El Fogon and El Serepe in January. While they are both good with execelent Taco's Pastore my vote goes for El Fogon for best food between the two.
