In Mexico you will see many more people smoking than in the US, but since most places are "open-air" it really does seem to be an issue. Like someone else said, Spices does have a smoking section, but I don't think I saw too many people smoking. Pelicanos is open-air so even if someone was smoking you really wouldn't notice. As for the other restaurants, I really don't recall anyone smoking. But, like I said, you will see a lot more people smoking...but unlike the US where you're trapped in a restaurant, the openess of everything really helps and you probably won't even notice. I don't consider myself a "smoker", but being a vacation and after a couple beers, I do enjoy an occassion cig....until the next morning and feel like crap!
